I was born on 12 March, 1956. Degree in Medicine, awarded 1981, University Padova; Residency in Neurology, awarded 1985, University Padova; Residency in Neuropathology, awarded 1992, University Verona.

I have acquired over 20 years’ experience in the field of neuroimmunology, focusing particularly on paraneoplastic neurological syndromes. I coordinated the PNS Euronetwork between 2002 and 2011, with funding from two European grants. From 2014 to 2017 I have been the scientific leader of a regional project aiming to pilot a clinical network to diagnose rapidly progressive dementias.

After directing the Department of Neurology at Treviso Hospital and the Ulss Euganea Padova Hospital, I am currently director of the Department of Neurology of Ospedale Santa Chiara (Trento).

I was Vice President of the Italian Society for Neurology from 2013-2015. I am now a member of the Subspeciality Scientific Panel for Neuroimmunology of European Association of Neurology (EAN).
